Not only did En provide us with a beautiful concert of her varied and uplifting harp repertoire, she spoke to our group easily, comfortably and with great humour. She had some fabulous anecdotes and I think it would be fair to say we had quite an enlightening insight into life as an orchestral harpist and soloist
As well as playing professionally, Eleanor has recently been increasingly involved in education.
She has a PGCert in Music and a foundation degree in supporting teaching and learning.
She is Harp Tutor at Chethams School of Music and Edinburgh Napier University, as well as teaching harp, piano, theory and aural up to and beyond Grade 8 level.
Eleanor has regularly coached the harp section for both National Youth Orchestras GB and Scotland.
She is a regular visiting musician at Ashworth Hospital participating in music workshops within high security settings with patients, and was involved in the making of a CD of music written by the patients themselves.
Eleanor is also an accomplished pianist and regularly accompanies choirs and instrumentalists taking grade exams or performing in concerts.
